"Eleanor, come and look at the frog I found in the pond! It makes a funny noise!" Louis was calling out to his best friend from across his backyard. Eleanor Calder, a petite, brunette five year old, wrinkled her nose in disgust and shook her head.

"Louis, I told you not to play with icky animals! Your momma’s gonna be so mad!" She put her hands on her hips and stared at her best friend.

"You know, Eleanor, if you kiss a frog, it turns into a prince." Louis subtly edged closer to her, toad in hand.

"Really?" Eleanor’s eyes were wide, and Louis thought she looked very pretty.

"Uh-huh. I see it all the time in the movies. And my cousin’s fairy tale books." Eleanor wasn’t sure where he was going with this, if he was being honest with himself.

Eleanor looked up at her friend. Even at five years old, Louis Tomlinson was a head taller than her, his brown hair glinting in the sun. “But…what if Mr. Frog doesn’t turn into a prince? Then I’ll have icky frog germs!” she was, seriously worried about a problem this big, was wondering what would happen if she didn’t get a prince of her own. Problems like these were crucial to five year olds, you know.

He looked down at his friend. “Tell you what. If the frog doesn’t turn into a prince, I’ll take the frog germs away!”
